Considering an Upgrade to Version 7 (V7)?

Learn more about V7 Features and Features NOT Available in V7 ahead of Installing Decisions.

  • Keep current back-ups of the database(s), Settings.xml file, Keys.dat file, and File Storage
  • .NET Core library architecture changes requires an "uninstall" of V6 ahead of installing V7
  • Support for Multi-Tenancy (MT) will be introduced in V8
  • Running V6 and V7 with the same database is not supported
  • Upon upgrading to V7, downgrading to V6 is not supported
  • Projects using XML/XSD data structures may require remapping on upgrade due to .NET Core architecture changes
  • V5 and V6 LESS files are not compatible with V7
  • V7 Web Service Integrations require installation of .NET Core 2.1 SDK
  • Clicking Debug in the V7 Flow Designer does not save the Flow
  • SignalR (.NET library) is included in V7.3+, requiring customers running V7.x via IIS to enable Websockets before upgrading

New Folder Tree Design [DT-031942]

The Folder Tree has a new design that will display default icons to folders in the tree if a look and feel option had not been applied previously. To learn more, see Set Folder Look and Feel.

New Mapping Editor Features [DT-032185] 

Mapping Editor now includes filter and search capability. To learn more about the mapping editor, see Using the Mapping Editor.

New Simple Form Features [DT-032678] 

New Display features for controls that include Text Area as a Rich Text Area, Label field as Rich Text, List as Radio Button, and more. To learn more, see About Simple Forms.

ActiveMQ Protocols [DT-031386] 

Decisions now supports the OpenWire and AMQP 1.0 protocols for the ActiveMQ module.

New Active Directory Steps to Pull in Computer Properties [DT-031832] 

There are three new steps added to the Active Directory module: List Computers In Active Directory, Find Computer By Name, and Find Computers By Name.

New Bulk Insert Step for External Databases [DT-032204] 

When creating a Table Integration, users can use a Bulk insert step IF the database engine supports it (SQL Server).

Use Routing Key as Input or Output for RabbitMQ Messages [DT-032251] 

The Routing Key is now available as a String input from the Data Explorer tab on Message Handler Flow and as an output on the Get String from Rabbit Queue step. To learn more about RabbitMQ steps, see Rabbit MQ Flow Steps.

Resizable URL Editor for Integration Details Page on Testing Tab [DT-030978] 

Users can now resize the integration details URL and Parameters boxes on the TEST tab. To learn more about Integration Details, see View Integration Details.

New Design Implementation to Save Dialog Button [DT-032237] 

A new visual rippling effect was added to the Save dialog button.

New Container Form Control [DT-031536] 

A New Form control in the Form Designer called Side Menu Container has been added that functions like a Tab Container but with a new layout. To learn more, see Displaying Form Sections with Side Menus.

Converter Flows Sorted Alphabetically [DT-031908] 

Converter Flows are now listed in alphabetical order. To learn more about Converter Flows, see Building and Using Converter Flows.

Warning is displayed if max limit is exceeded.

New editors added for number filter:

  • NumericFieldFilterEditor This editor has three operators as Above, Below, and Equals. And this editor is only applicable for such report filters which have only one property. This filter also gets applicable for flow which has the numeric types of inputs such as int, decimal and this flow taken as the chart data source
  • NumericFieldsFilterEditor This editor support two properties min and max and it is applicable for numeric range filter on report
  • NumericRangeFilterEditor This is an existing filter and this filter is only applicable if any flow contains the input of type NumericRange and this flow act as the data source for the chart part.
