Considering an Upgrade to Version 7 (V7)?

Learn more about V7 Features and Features NOT Available in V7 ahead of Installing Decisions.

  • Keep current back-ups of the database(s), Settings.xml file, Keys.dat file, and File Storage
  • .NET Core library architecture changes requires an "uninstall" of V6 ahead of installing V7
  • Support for Multi-Tenancy (MT) will be introduced in V8
  • Running V6 and V7 with the same database is not supported
  • Upon upgrading to V7, downgrading to V6 is not supported
  • Projects using XML/XSD data structures may require remapping on upgrade due to .NET Core architecture changes
  • V5 and V6 LESS files are not compatible with V7
  • V7 Web Service Integrations require installation of .NET Core 2.1 SDK
  • Clicking Debug in the V7 Flow Designer does not save the Flow
  • SignalR (.NET library) is included in V7.3+, requiring customers running V7.x via IIS to enable Websockets before upgrading

Updates 7.7.1 (September 17, 2021)

Archive Entity Job [DT-032341] 

The Archive Entity Job will no longer delete files but will instead move them to a directory where a scheduled job can be created to delete them from that directory.

7.7.0 Enhancements (September 15, 2021)

Update to Dependency Browser [DT-031258] 

Dependencies now have new functionality that allows users to view the Input/Output data of various elements in the Dependency Browser. Also, the system will throw validations or warnings on modified inputs/outputs in the Dependency Browser or display warnings of input/output data modifications.

Mapping Editor Redesign [DT-031277] 

Mapping Editor has been redesigned and features new functionality that includes the ability to display validation errors when mapping.

Modify Strings for Master Translation List and Use Case Insensitively [DT-031219]

Users have the ability to set a string to be translated in the Master Translation list to ignore cases (i.e., ABC = abc). In addition, users can edit the string to be translated (if there is a typo in the string to be translated, it can now be edited and fixed). The ignore case setting is only functional with the Translate String step. To learn more, see Managing Languages.

New Design with React on Button Components [DT-030742] 

New visual effect for button components.

Snowflake Implementation [DT-031453]

Decisions can be implemented with Snowflake. To learn more, see Integrating with Snowflake.

New List Remote File Steps for FTP and SFTP [DT-031556]

List Remote File step has been updated for FTP and SFTP.

Department Number for Active Directory Accounts [DT-031789] 

Department Number has been added as an output/result when pulling information from an Active Directory account.

Multi-Factor Authentication [DT-031815]

Users now have the ability to use Two Factor Authentication via the Enable Two-Factor Authentication option. To learn more, see 2FA (Two Factor Authentication) in Decisions.

Add Input Types for Unit Tests Paths [DT-031792] 

Users can now specify input types for Unit Test Simulation paths. To learn more, see Unit Tests (Advanced).

Use Flows as a Source for Unit Test Data [DT-031816] 

When creating/editing unit tests in a Flow or Rule (designer and debugger), users can now select an option to dynamically set Unit Test data via a Flow. To learn more, see Unit Tests (Advanced).

Enable/Disable DataStore in Settings.xml [DT-031894] 

A new setting was added to Settings.xml called EnableStaleFlowsDataStore that is set as false by default. To learn more, see System Settings Overview (settings.xml).

Modify File System Settings in Logging Folder [DT-032098]

A new action was added called Edit Log Settings that can be used to modify File System settings. To learn more, see Logging Overview.

New Simple Form Features [DT-032222]

Simple Forms now include the following new features and functionality:

  • Users have the ability to have CSS on controls (Text Field, Button, Date Time)
  • Text Field control now features a new Display As property called Auto Complete 
  • Button control has a new behavior called Copy Text
  • Date Time control has new Display As options called Calendar and Time 
  • A new property was added for Number Box control and Number Spinner control called Static Input.

Errors from mysql-connector dlls that do not cause issues with MySQL integration are suppressed.
