Overview
This document explains how to use the Generate Input Data with AI functionality inside the platform. This feature allows users to generate input data with an AI Assisted Chat experience.
Can/Cannot
Each of the AI features have capabilities that they can do and capabilities that they cannot do. As these features get continue to improve, the list below will change. As of v9.16 this is what the feature can and cannot do:
Can
- Use the following types:
- DateTime
- Boolean
- Decimal
- Int32
- String
- Make any input a list
- Set "Allow Null" on any input
- Works for the following Designers:
- Flow
- Rule Sets
- Statement Rules
- Truth Tables
Cannot
- Use composite structures, custom types, or file types
Generate From AI
Inside of the Input Data Page on any of the designers listed above, there will be the "Star Icon" as one of the actions. Once clicked, a chat window will appear where users can request inputs be created. Uses can provide specific inputs, or ask for recommendations on what data types are needed.

Once a request has been made, the AI will ask any follow-up questions it may have, and if has none, it will provide a button titled "Generate". This button will add the inputs based on the specific requirements discussed in the chat experience.
