Overview
After discovering variants in a process, the Explore Variants tab in the Variant Explorer populates with data about each and every variant found in the log.
Users may refer to the Explore Variants Tab to view variant popularity at a glance and/or to pinpoint what cases tended to contain variants as well as when and where a particular variant occurs in the execution.
Navigating the Explorer Tab
The following screenshot and table describes the sections of the Explore Variant tab and its functions.
Section Number | Section Name | Function |
---|---|---|
1 | Selection checkbox | Toggle this setting to switch between either single selection or multi-selection in the variant table. |
2 | Variant ring charts | These ring charts dynamically update upon selecting a variant in the variant table. They display the total percentage of the selected variant(s) and the percentage of cases the chosen variant(s) represent respectively. |
3 | Variant table | Populates with every single found variant in the log in a table displaying KPIs such as variants' popularity, length, duration. Select a variant here to change the the contents in the variant case table. |
4 | Variant case table | Populates with cases of the variant chosen in the variant table. Each case listed displays information such as its case number, length, and duration. |
5 | Process map and data | Displays a process map of the select variant or case once expanded. Once expanded, the prior table shrink but users may still select a new variant/case to display in the process map. |
6 | Aggregate loop checkbox | Enabling this setting prevents multiple executions of the same activity in a loop from creating new variants. This may prevent duplicates. |
