Article Summary

Overview

Folders in Decisions allow users to organize specific data, Designer Elements, documents, and comments in a central location. Within Decisions, there are two types of folders, standard Folders and Designer Project.

Differences Between Folders and Designer Projects

Function

Standard Folders can only store data, documents, and user comments. These folders can also be viewed in the Portal with the proper settings and can also be used to display Pages in the Portal for users to execute work. Designer Projects are the only folders that allow a user to create and maintain Designer Elements (Flows, Rules, Forms, etc) and are not visible when in the Portal.

For more information on Designer Projects, see Creating a Designer Project

Visual

On the Create Folder dialog window and in the Portal/Studio, a standard Folder is represented by an open folder icon and a Designer Project has a pencil icon inside the folder icon.
