Overview
Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) is a secure method of transferring files across a network. Decisions has the ability to create a remote directory which uploads and downloads files through Decisions thus removing the need for external file transfers.
Example (SFTP)
The following example will show how to use the Create Remote SFTP Directory step.
Creating a Remote FTP Directory?
This example's configuration mirrors the process for FTP except replace the Create Remote SFTP Directory with Create Remote FTP Directory.
- To begin, navigate to a Designer Folder and select CREATE FLOW from the Global Action Bar.
- In the resulting Create Flow dialog, select and name the default Flow [Remote SFTP Directory]. Click CREATE to open the Flow Designer.
- In the Flow Designer, from the Toolbox > INTEGRATIONS > FTP category, drag and connect a Create Remote SFTP Directory step to the Start step and End step.
- With the Create Remote SFTP Directory step selected, navigate to the Properties panel > SFTP > Server > Host value field and input the hostname of the SFTP server.
- Further, in the SFTP > Server > Authentication > Username and Password value fields input the applicable information to access the directory.
- Lastly, the INPUTS > Remote Path value field allows the user to name the Directory; change its input mapping to Constant.
The Properties panel > [SETTINGS] section allows the user to toggle if they want to Show Certifications for a user or Show the password when accessing the directory.
