Overview
The favicon is the icon that appears next to Decisions-related browser tabs, next to the tab's title. The favicon is set to the Decisions 'D' logo by default. A favicon is a 16x16 .ico image file. These .ico files can be online or otherwise rendered.
The following document demonstrates how to change the favicon.
Example
The process to update a favicon for 7.3 and below and 7.4 and higher are the same; the only difference lies in the folder location that the favicon is in.
- Back up the default favicon file in another location.
- From the File System, for 7.3 and below navigate to C:\\Program Files\Decisions\Decisions Server\wwwroot\Content\Images.
- From the File System, for 7.4+ navigate to C:\\Program Files\Decisions\Decisions Server\wwwroot.
- Ensure that the desired replacement icon is named favicon, then drag it from its current location to the original location of the default favicon.
- From the Replace or Skip Files popup, click Replace the file in the destination.
- After the file is replaced, open the Browser Developer Tools (CTL + SHIFT+ I in Chrome), then right-click the Refresh icon and select Empty Cache and Hard Reload.
