Article Summary

Overview

This article will show how to manipulate external database connections in the Flow Designer. Any Database connection that has been integrated will have Flow steps created for the connection. The steps can be found in the steps Toolbox in Integration -> Database category.

LOCAL CONNECTION

By default, Decisions will have a LOCAL CONNECTION category. This is the database that Decisions was installed against. Contained with that category is a list of transaction SQL Flow steps, query steps for assignments, and query steps for the repository.

External Databases

Create An External Database Connection
For information on creating an external database connection, refer to the "External Database Integration" article.

The Southwind database in the screenshot is not a default integration. It merely serves as an example of where External Database integration steps will appear in the Flow Designer. If there are any table integrations with an external database, all the created steps for that table will appear underneath the category with the table name.
