# Zip Directory

The **Zip Directory Step** is used to compress files and folders from a specified directory into a single .zip archive. This step helps organize multiple files into one archive, save storage space, and make data transfer more efficient. It allows compressing a specified directory into one zip archive, optionally including all subdirectories. Compressing files enhances organization by condensing multiple files into one and speeds up upload/download times, making data sharing efficient.

To create a zip file, first select the option to **Include Sub Directory** to include subfolders in the zip. Next, enter the exact **Path To Zip** of the directory to be compressed. Finally, specify the desired **name** for the zip file.
