# Send Notification Step

The Send Notification step allows a user to create a notification based on an event.

#### Inputs

| Property | Description | Data Type |

| Folder Id | The ID of the Folder | String |
| Message | Text to display in the notification | String |
| Msgtype | Defines how the notification will be displayed | NotificationMessageType |
| [Notification Type Name](https://documentation.decisions.com/v8/docs/en/setting-up-notifications-for-events-anywhere-in-the-portal) | The name of the event that triggers when the notification is sent | String |
| Subject | Defines the text to display on the Subject line of the notification | String |
