# Mark Exchange Emails As Read

The **Mark Exchange Emails As Read** step is used to take an unread Exchange email and mark it as read.

### Prerequisites

- This step requires the [Exchange Web Services module](https://documentation.decisions.com/docs/microsoft365-exchange) to be [installed](https://documentation.decisions.com/docs/installing-modules-decisions) before it will be available in the toolbox.
- A [dependency](https://documentation.decisions.com/docs/project-dependencies) must be created after installing the module in order for the Step to be properly used.

| Ids | An array of email IDs to retrieve full information about, including body and any attachments. A common source for this array is the "Id [All Id]" property of the output of the Search Emails step. | List of String |
