# Get Region From Display Name

The Get Region From Display Name step is used to retrieve a region from an inputted region display name. (Ex. US East (N. Virginia)).

### Prerequisites

- This step requires the [Amazon AWS Module](https://documentation.decisions.com/docs/aws) to be [installed](https://documentation.decisions.com/docs/installing-modules-decisions) before it will be available in the toolbox, and an active [AWS account](https://signin.aws.amazon.com/signin?redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fconsole.aws.amazon.com%2Fconsole%2Fhome%3FhashArgs%3D%2523%26isauthcode%3Dtrue%26nc2%3Dh_ct%26src%3Dheader-signin%26state%3DhashArgsFromTB_eu-north-1_c1412528899e4833&client_id=arn%3Aaws%3Asignin%3A%3A%3Aconsole%2Fcanvas&forceMobileApp=0&code_challenge=HQku5BPrRUboP5p1wGr4Ai_nBIQNSqsR2eHJNCBfxhQ&code_challenge_method=SHA-256). The [Amazon WebServices Settings](https://documentation.decisions.com/docs/setting-up-amazon-webservices-integration) must also be configured.
- A [dependency](https://documentation.decisions.com/docs/project-dependencies) must be created after installing the module in order for the Step to be used.
