# Get Folder List

The Get Folder List step retrieves a list of folders stored within a specific folder in a user's Google Drive account. This step is particularly useful when accessing and working with folders located within a particular directory.

### Prerequisites

This step requires the [Google Drive](https://documentation.decisions.com/docs/google-drive-module) module to be [installed](https://documentation.decisions.com/docs/installing-modules-decisions) before it will be available in the toolbox.

## Properties

#### Inputs

| Credential | The authentication credentials or access token required to authorize and authenticate the operation. | GoogleDriveCredential |
| Parent Folder ID | This input represents the ID of the parent folder within Google Drive to retrieve a list of folders. **Find the ID**: In Google Drive, locate the file or folder, right-click, and select "Get Link" or "Share". A window will pop up displaying the sharing settings for the file or folder. The link will look something like the following: `https://drive.google.com/file/d/FILE_ID/view` or `https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/FOLDER_ID.`The [Get File List](/step-library/docs/get-file-list-google) and [Get Folder List](/step-library/docs/get-folder-list-google) steps will also return File and Folder IDs. | String |
