# Get Accounts

The **Get Accounts** step retrieves a list of accounts associated with any linked Item. Plaid will only return active bank accounts; accounts that are not closed and capable of carrying a balance.

### Prerequisites

This step requires the [Plaid module](https://documentation.decisions.com/docs/plaid) to be [installed](https://documentation.decisions.com/docs/installing-modules-decisions) before it will be available in the toolbox.

A [Project Dependency](https://documentation.decisions.com/docs/project-dependencies) is required for uses on v9.
