# Get Accounts Balance

The **Get Accounts Balance** step returns the real-time balance for each of an Item's accounts.

### Prerequisites

This step requires the [Plaid module](https://documentation.decisions.com/docs/plaid) to be [installed](https://documentation.decisions.com/docs/installing-modules-decisions) before it will be available in the toolbox.

A [Project Dependency](https://documentation.decisions.com/docs/project-dependencies) is required for users on v9.
