# Delete Document

This Step allows Users to delete a single document from a Database after specifying a Document ID.

## Prerequisites

- Install the [MongoDB](https://documentation.decisions.com/docs/mongodb) Module.
- **For v9 Users**: Add a [Project Dependency](https://documentation.decisions.com/docs/project-dependencies#add-a-project-dependency-or-enable-a-module) once the MongoDB Module is installed.

| Override Document ID Type | Allows Users to override the default Document ID type and replace it with one of the following types: **String** or **ObjectID**, **Integer (32 bits)**, **Integer (64 bits)**, **Float (Single)**, **Double**. | Varies |
