# Create Internet Gateway

The **Create Internet Gateway** step is used to create a new Internet Gateway in AWS.

### Prerequisites

- This step requires the [Amazon AWS Module](https://documentation.decisions.com/docs/aws) to be [installed](https://documentation.decisions.com/docs/installing-modules-decisions) before it will be available in the toolbox, and an active [AWS account](https://signin.aws.amazon.com/signin?redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fconsole.aws.amazon.com%2Fconsole%2Fhome%3FhashArgs%3D%2523%26isauthcode%3Dtrue%26nc2%3Dh_ct%26src%3Dheader-signin%26state%3DhashArgsFromTB_eu-north-1_c1412528899e4833&client_id=arn%3Aaws%3Asignin%3A%3A%3Aconsole%2Fcanvas&forceMobileApp=0&code_challenge=HQku5BPrRUboP5p1wGr4Ai_nBIQNSqsR2eHJNCBfxhQ&code_challenge_method=SHA-256). ## Common Errors

### AWS Was Not Able To Validate the Provided Access Credentials.

If the access credentials established in system settings are invalid, the step will cause an error. To correct this, ensure the Access Key Id and Secret Access Key are both correct and active.
