# Add File References To Process

The **Add File References To Process** requires a [Process Folder](https://documentation.decisions.com/docs/using-process-folders) and saves a list of files to the folder. The step only accepts only inputs that are FileReferences.

### cannot add a folder without a persistence folder

The step is intended to be used with a Process Folder. Ensure that the Flow using this step is utilizing a Process Folder.
