# Using the Sort Array Step

This Example Lab shows how a user can sort any given dates using the **Sort Array** step.

## Explanation

The Flow starts with a **Create Data** step. This will give test dates that can properly display the **Sort Array** step. Next, the Sort Array step builds an array of these dates, then sorts the dates in a descending order. One thing to note about creating arrays in certain Decisions steps, a user can choose "Build Array" on the inputs and add individual members of an array by selecting "Select from Flow."
