External Database Integration

Setup an External Database to integrate data within Decisions Studio in Flows, Forms, Rules, Data Structures and more. 



For this example, we will integrate with a simple External Database table. In the designer Folders Navigate to System>Integrations> Databases. Locate the blue action panel at the bottom of the design studio and select  Create Connection (Figure 1).

Create a Connection using the Database Integration editor. In the New Connection section complete the fields required to integrate with an External Database (Figure 2)

  • Connection Name
  • Database Type
    • Use Agent
    • Custom Connection String
  • Server Name
  • Database name
    • Windows Authentication
  • User Name
  • Password

The new Databases connection can be found in the Databases folder. Select the database connection and  Add Table, (Figure 3).

In the Tables Integration window, pick a desirable Table from our database and select Steps that should be generated by the System for interactions with the database. Select Next to continue with the integration (Figure 5).

Select the Table Feilds needed for integration and make sure at least one Table Key is selected (Figure 5).

And our Table is being created by the System in the Database Folder (Figure 6).
