Enabling and Disabling Job

Once a schedule job has been added using the Job Schedule dialog, enabling and disabling is available. Retain job schedule settings but stop the job from running by disabling it. To set the job to run again, enable it.

The job must have run at least once to enable or disable it.

To enable or disable a job, navigate to the folder System > Jobs And Events > Scheduled Jobs and select the option from the entity actions menu.

Example

In the example, we will disable then enable a schedule job.

We navigate to the folder System > Jobs And Events > Schedule Jobs. In the Entity Name list, we select the name of the job to disable.

In the entity actions menu on the right, we select Disable Schedule Job.

 

 

 

A confirmation box displays. We click Yes.

 

 

The job’s status is updated to Disabled, we can see this by changing the report to include hidden entities.

 

 

To enable the job, we select it and select Enable Schedule Job from the entity actions menu.

 

 

 

 

A confirmation box displays. We click Yes.

 

 

The job’s status is updated to Enabled.
