# Page Controls Glossary

## Overview

Form controls provide different functions, allowing Users to edit a Page's functionalities and design, and can be found within the Tooolbox of the [Page Designer](https://documentation.decisions.com/docs/create-pages-dashboards#building-a-pagedashboard).

The following document lists and describes every Page control available in the Toolbox by their location in the **Control Tree**.

| Portal | Run Action as Button/Image/Link | This control expands the list of right-click actions on the Current Folder, Current Project, and a few Core Actions that can be be added to the Page. |
| Run Current Folder Action | Run Current Folder Action as Button/Image/Link | Adds Current Folder Actions to the Page. |
| Service Catalog | N/A | Provides access to the Service Catalog, including the Administration Service, Default, and General services, on a Page. |
| Root | [Actions Bar](https://documentation.decisions.com/v9/docs/adding-user-actions-with-the-action-bars-component) | Contains Buttons that perform an action or open a menu that can either hold primary or secondary actions. |

| Designer Folder Filter | Allows Users to search the Designer Project by either name, tags, or type. |
| Designer Folder Viewer | Displays everything within the Designer Folder in the Tile Layout. Can sort and search through this viewer. |
| [Features](/v9/docs/decisions-modules-overview) | Displays both installed and not installed modules on the instance. *Deprecated in v9.8. |
| Image Folder Viewer | Displays images in the Image Library. |
| Image Viewer | Allows Users to upload and display an image at runtime. The image is then saved to the attached Page's parent Folder. |
| Service Catalog | Displays the Service Catalog with image links to any nested Designer Projects within the attached Page's parent Folder. |

| Current | Current Time | Displays current time. |
| Current User | Displays the current user's email address. |
| Data Controls | Data Label | This control lets Users pick a dynamic data name of a label. This control is useful when the Page is created within a configuration folder of a user-defined data structure. The **Data Name** field of the control will allow Users to pick the parameters of the user-defined data structure as the data name. |
| Image (Folder Data) | Dynamically populate an image using the Data Name. |
| Rich Textbox | Dynamically populate a Rich Text Box using Data Name. |
| Save Button | Saves Folder Data. |
| Text Box | A Text Box control enables Users to enter text into a designated area. |
| Folder | Assignments Viewer | Displays Assignments. |
| [Folder Activity Panel](/v9/docs/folder-activity-panel) | Gives Users an audit trail of the states and comments a folder has gone through. The folder activity panel can only be used with Flow Execution Extensions, Case Entities, Entities with process folders, and folder extensions. |
| Folder Header Data | Displays the Folder Name and Description. |
| Folder Horizontal Timeline | Shows previous states, current states, and future states of a Folder. Can only be used with Flow Execution Extensions, Case Entities, Entities with process folders, and folder extensions. |
| Folder Timeline Gauge | Shows the percentage complete of a timeline. Can only be used with Flow Execution Extensions, Case Entities, Entities with process folders, and folder extensions. |
| Resources View | Create and display an Entity Report, add resources/documents to the Folder. |
| State Label | Displays the current state. |
| Tag Browser | Shows all items with tags. |
| Tags View | Adds tags to the current page. |
| Google | Google Map Search | Text box with a Search button that opens Google Map Results in a new window. |
| Google Search | Text box with a Search button that opens Google Search Results of the typed text in a new window. |
| Page | Page Data Viewer | Displays a Page within a Page via Page Name or Page ID. |
| Property Grid | Property Grid Editor | Provides a Property Grid Editor for the Page. |

| [Add Document](https://documentation.decisions.com/v9/docs/adding-documents-to-the-portal) | Adds a Document to the Folder the Page is on. |
| Display HTML | A way to view HTML on a Page. |
| [Document Viewer](https://documentation.decisions.com/v9/docs/document-viewer-form) | Shows all files except Microsoft file types (doc, docx, excel, etc). |
| [Folder Viewer](/v9/docs/folder-viewer-control) | Displays Report within a Folder. |
| [Label](https://documentation.decisions.com/v9/docs/copy-able-label) | A way to put information on a Form that is not interactive. |
| Rich Text Display | Gives the designer the opportunity to change font type, color, size, alignment, copy, paste, insert an image, and create a table. |
| Scratch Pad | Gives the end-user the opportunity to change font type, color, size, alignment, copy, paste, insert an image, and create a table. Saves as a Comment. |

## Designer Entities

| [Flow Run Part](/v9/docs/flow-run-part) | Allows the user to run a Flow from within the allotted Page space. |
| Run Assignments | The Run Assignments page control can be configured to get assignment Ids from the selection bus, such as from a report viewer also on the page, display the assignment and let the assignee complete it. *Deprecated in 9.8 |
| View Flow | Can only be used on Flow Tracking Folders. |

## Images

| All existing image files will appear as folders with the following four Controls. | As Image | Displays the Folder as an image. |
| As Open URL Image Button | Displays an image that opens a URL in a new browser tab once the user clicks on it. |
| As Run Flow | Displays an image that runs a Flow once a User clicks on it. |
| As Run Report | Displays an image that runs a Report once the User clicks on it. *Deprecated in 9.8 - Please use the Reports > Run Report control. |

| Scroll Panel | Creates a scroll bar if the controls on the Page are larger than the Page itself. |

## Navigation

| Root | Back Button | Allows Users to navigate to the previous page. |
| Folders Bar | Allows the ability to add a custom folder bar to a Page. |
| Incremental Search | Provides an incremental search bar allowing Users to dictate which DataTypes are searchable on the Page. |
| Navigate To Folder | Navigates to the User-designated Folder. |
| Navigate To Parent Folder | Navigates to the Parent Folder of the current Page. |
| Navigate To Parent Process | Navigates to the Parent Process Folder of the current Page. |
| Navigation Tree Part | Provides a copy of the Studio's Folder Tree. |
| Open Child Tab Button | Provides a Button that opens the Page in a separate tab. |
| Open URL | Provides a clickable Button, Link, or Image that opens a designated URL; this URL can be configured to open in a new tab. |
| Refresh Page | Provides a clickable Button, Link, or Image that refreshes the Page containing the control. |
