# Overriding Verbs in Truth Tables

## Overview

Truth Tables can have cells override the verb actions specified for each column, similar to how [Rule Tables](/v9/docs/rule-table-overview) function. This provides greater customization to a Truth Table and can be used in conjunction with [merged table cells](/v9/docs/truth-table-actions).

### Override Verb Action

1. [Create a Truth Table](/v9/docs/creating-a-truth-table).
2. Select**Setup Input Data**button above the Truth Table and define the input data. For this example, a **Decimal** input is used.![](https://cdn.document360.io/6ef8bcc1-6489-4486-9ad1-83acff7e5df0/Images/Documentation/2024-08-06_16h34_34.png)
3. Save and return to the Truth Table Designer

7. A dialog will appear, allowing the user to select a new verb for the column. For this example, select **Greater Than**.
