Displaying Report Matrices in a Portal Page

Report matrices display totals of how many records match each value reported in a column. Each column is referred to as a dimension. Multiple dimensions can be compared along the x and y axes of the report matrix.
The report used as the matrix source must already have a matrix defined.
To add a matrix to a portal page, in the Report Designer , drag a Matrix component from the reports category in the Components Panel to the workspace, then set the Matrix Source in the Properties Panel .
The goal of this example is to:
Create a portal page.
Add a matrix to the page.
View the page.
To begin, navigate to a Designer folder and click the Create Page>Page>Add Page button located at the bottom of the portal page.
In the resulting pop-up window, give the page a name and click Ok to open the Page Designer .
From the Toolbox Panel , expand the Reports category and drag a Matrix component to the workspace.
In the Properties Panel , in the Matrix Data section, select the Matrix Source selector.
Select a report the has been created with a Matrix View and click Ok .
This completes the page, save it and close the Page Designer .
To view the matrix, select the page’s thumbnail and select View > Preview Page from its Action menu.
The report opens in a new window and displays the report matrix.
