Options include changing the appearance of buttons and filters, enabling group actions, setting a default Report, and more. --- ## Setting a View In this example, a Report has been created to serve as a basis to demonstrate the different Report Views. Before building a report, [Create Reports](/v10/docs/create-reports). 1. In the Report Designer, add **Account** as the **Data Source** then **Email Address**, **Account ID** and **Created on Date** as the **Data Fields**.![](https://cdn.document360.io/6ef8bcc1-6489-4486-9ad1-83acff7e5df0/Images/Documentation/image-1782151084479.png) 2. In the **Views** section, click **Add** to add different view modes. In this example, add **Matrix**, **Layout Based View**, and **Calendar** views. The **Calendar** view uses a **Merge Text Editor** to display a dynamic statement on a date. This is displayed in the Properties section when a row is selected. Similar to **Rich Text View,** however, this view will use a standard text editor. Images and links will not display correctly in this view. Any text entered will be displayed as a single line.![](https://cdn.document360.io/6ef8bcc1-6489-4486-9ad1-83acff7e5df0/Images/Documentation/image-1782151650508.png) ### Hierarchical View For more information about Hierarchical View, see [Hierarchy View](/v10/docs/hierarchy-view). **Hierarchical Views** allow nested objects to be shown in a Report. For example, this view can be used to display the child Folders for every Folder that has been created in Decisions. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/6ef8bcc1-6489-4486-9ad1-83acff7e5df0/Images/Documentation/image-1782151854498.png) --- ## Other Settings To test the report view modes, at the top of the Reports Designer, click **Run Report.** The view modes you've added to the report appear as icons in the top left-hand corner. Setting this to 'Yes' allows users to [add](/v10/docs/configuring-report-view-modes#add-a-column), [edit](/v10/docs/configuring-report-view-modes#edit-a-column), or [delete](/v10/docs/configuring-report-view-modes#delete-a-column) columns when viewing the Report in a live environment without going through the Report Designer. This change will persist whenever the Report is run. This will pull up a new menu with a variety of options to change the column. This example will demonstrate that step. To learn how to create a page and add a report viewer to it, navigate [here](https://documentation.decisions.com/version-10/docs/create-pages-dashboards). In the Page Designer, select the **Report Viewer,** then in the **Properties** panel on the right side, expand **View.** By default, all the **View Modes** are selected.
